Sounds Neat

Got that fun carnival sound to it and it seems like, I wouldn't actually know, that you've got all the notes of the main melody from the original. You can do a lot with this... let's see what kind of spin you can put on it.

We'll see if I actually remember how to use FL Studio after all of this time spent doing nothing but getting injured all of the time lately. Several long stories right there.

How did you get this out of that....?

Dood... how did you... I mean, I barely recognize the original percussion, even. I like the piano+siren hit you cut, I might have to make my own sample from that.

There's a cool spacey, computer feel to it. I like bobbing my head to the beat. The quick "wupping" sound in the left channel :D The compressed reverbs off in the surround space :D

I like it.

buyj3llo responds:

thanks, I'm glad you liked it.

Why is everyone making great sounds all of asudden

First, ya gotta tell me what the drums are from. I don't want to use them but, they sound good, and the static crunch when layer comes in is real fiber. That riff in the beginning reminds me of something Tommy Tallarico would make. This is just real great, ok? OK?!

demsis responds:

Well the drums are actually a 2 drum (loop) combination from GarageBand.
(yes I only use GarageBand, sadly).
I often put 2 different drums together to make a unique beat that is very well disguised.
Tommy Tallarico? I thought that sounded familiar. He's a legend in game soundtracks?
Yes, OK!!

I know nothing technical about music

But I know what I like... and you got it, I liked this. Please hear me out though, I didn't want to. I don't want to like anything you do anymore because I have a hard time believing that someone keeps putting these arrangements and sounds together.
But yeah at :10 I was like "oh_that's_nice... you_Know_that_ya really like this."

You win again, you bastard.

NKAT responds:

Please like it! I Iuv you and it. Respect my man blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

You know waaaa

This reminds me of New Order-Confusion, that blood rave mix from Blade. That constant bass, very spaced introduction of new sounds. But thank goodness its not 10 minutes long like Confusion. That's just too much.
At :43, that stuttering sound welcome, its what kept my attention inside of the already established pattern. Then cymbal crashes and gotta pay attention to the bass.
Really, I hope people get past what they feel is repetitive because at like 3 minutes I'm inside of digital chaos and there a lot of interesting patterns going on there.

buyj3llo responds:

noted. In the future I'll keep variety and pacing in mind. I love reviews like this because they really do help me improve. I really appreciate it.

HOLY SMOKES

:D Your lyrics. :D

Let me tell you something, that fucking kick, well, it's perfect. What you have done here and especially at 1:10 is kept my attention with a simple to approach to the sound. Sometimes its just the sound of what your using and then all these patterns come out. Cooooo

LiNaK37 responds:

Thanks man, I always look forward to your reviews

WHoa, mind smacked

I what makes me happiest, is that flute reaching so high, almost punishing how sharp. But as you've flooded all these sounds in, it has a crystalline quality, like it is almost pure but, at 1:00, it's like quartz... you know, I don't know what I'm saying. Very unique.

demsis responds:

Yeah, It's good how the flute starts on the end of the verse, and then the last note of the phrase is so high like that.
Like quartz as opposed to pure, does that mean that it's worse?
Anyway, thanks.

You know what makes it...

...cool in the first minute, quick snaps of silence, like :42. It took me a couple plays to understand why you suppressed the s f/x for the bass line but, that other synth comes in and it's like, ah... ok. The sudden spike in volume at 2:17... I would've expected gradual envelope. Its all good.

buyj3llo responds:

ugh, the spike at 2:17, it was unintentional. I heard it and just tried to pretend it didn't exist. thanks for the review.

Eeeeeaaaarrrrr

You know what I'm talking about? I can't tell if that's a vox or a synth but, It's my favorite. It makes the most sense inside of that hyper synth. The piano and the "uh uh uh uh" keeps everything on track. Eeeeaaaaarrrrrrr. :D

Also, super cool of you offering up your whole assembly. I agree with you... almost 100%

hanorotu responds:

The Eeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaarrr is actually just a voice clip lol

Gave me a feeling

And I'm not sure I want to feel it but, hey, its familiar so, it's home.
First, thank you for not relying on samples or prefabbed shit, YOU come across much clearer. And because you come across, I can hear a bit a me, if ya dig. Seriously, you got choice words and I seem to run into those thoughts too frequently. Just... good shit, dude.
The melodies are pleasant, only that piano/guitar font could drop in volume or find its own channel in the stereo - it pulls me away from your voice. Your low-shelf singing in chorus sounds real good (even tho I cant make it out exactly - "ehyeeaaeeaah" love that sound.
Yes.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thanks man. You're awesome.

I'm a fudge cucumber.
